Save Shorts and Short Clips
Made for quick, upright videos. Paste a Shorts or video link and keep the clip as MP4 or its sound as MP3.
WE DO NOT ALLOW/SUPPORT THE DOWNLOAD OF COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL!
A home for the clips you want to keep
Shorts move fast. Your feed scrolls on, and the clip you wanted to see again is hard to find. Saveclipbro lets you keep a copy of short videos on your own device: your own Shorts, and clips the creator lets you keep. Watch them offline, show them to a friend, or use your own clips in a new edit.
The tool accepts Shorts links as well as normal video links. The guides on this site focus on short pieces, from a few seconds to a few minutes.
Save a Short in four taps
- In the YouTube app, open the Short, tap Share and choose Copy link.
- Paste the link into the "Paste Your URL..." box above.
- Keep MP4 (720p), or choose MP4 (1080p) for a sharper upright picture.
- Tap Download. When the card shows the clip title and "Download ready", tap Download on the card.
A 93-second Short took about 21 seconds in our test.
Upright video, explained in numbers
Quality labels were made for wide videos, so they can be confusing with Shorts. Here is what we measured with one public 9:16 Short:
| Menu choice | Picture size | File size (93 s) |
|---|---|---|
| MP4 (720p) | 360 × 640 pixels | about 4 MB |
| MP4 (1080p) | 608 × 1080 pixels | about 39 MB |
| MP3 | sound only, 320 kbps | about 3.9 MB |
For a quick look on a phone, 720p is enough. For reposting your own clip or editing it, 1080p keeps far more detail.
What people save with Saveclipbro
- Their own Shorts: keep a backup, or move a clip to TikTok or Instagram Reels.
- How-to clips: recipes, workout moves and repair tips to watch again without searching.
- Sounds: a song snippet or a voice line, saved as MP3.
- Family clips: a Short you posted of a birthday or a trip, saved back to your phone.
- Short highlights: a goal, a trailer or a quick review from a normal YouTube video.
Shorts and normal clips side by side
Paste either kind of link into the same box. Shorts keep their upright 9:16 frame; normal videos stay wide. You do not need to tell the tool which one it is. The format menu and the steps are the same for both, so once you have saved one clip, you know how to save them all.
Offline, on your terms
A saved clip plays on a plane, in the subway or anywhere the signal drops. It does not buffer, it does not start an ad, and it stays on your phone even if the original is taken down later. Keep the clips you care about in one album, and the collection is ready whenever you want it.
